My life purpose is to answer these questions at an individual, & hopefully in the future, at a broader population level. As a Health and Wellness coach (Duke Health) & exercise specialist (NASM), I coach individual and corporate clients on actionable steps towards better health.
Over 15 years of leading complex projects for the Federal & Life Science Organizations combined with my advanced degrees, gave me invaluable skills I apply daily to help my clients identify factors affecting their health:
My coaching approach is simple. Factors like 1) poor diet, 2) lack of physical activity & 3) stress are strongly linked to the leading causes of death & chronic conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Small and consistent changes in these 3 areas help prevent and reverse chronic conditions.
Please pause here. It is a scientific fact – we CAN PREVENT the onset of chronic conditions that prematurely stop lives or make the last decades of lives barely tolerable by changing what we eat, how we move & how we react to the world around us. I strongly believe, based on my personal experience, we can reverse some chronic conditions.
Yet, comparatively little health resources are dedicated to prevention & health promotion with the main focus being cure of already existing conditions. Most of us simply do not know how to start the journey towards a healthier lifestyle. Sometimes we are so ill/fatigued/exhausted that we think only a strong and dramatic measure can help. The truth is BIG IMACTS come from SMALL CHANGES carried out in a consistent manner. My goal is to provide an easy solution and educate clients on the foundations of healthy eating, exercise and stress management.
